40th Birthday Party at West Beach, Bournemouth

(Images courtesy of Columbia Photography - www.columbiaphotography.co.uk)

We were delighted to receive the professional pictures today from the 40th birthday party which we arranged at West Beach, Bournemouth at the end of January and some are featured above. All images are kindly supplied with the permission of the wonderful John Howarth of Columbia Photography, Bournemouth. The lucky birthday boy had a great party which started with a champagne reception and delicious canapes overlooking a very calm but chillingly cold Bournemouth sea front. His lovely wife surprised him with a wonderful short film about family live and achievements which brought a tear to lots of eyes!

We had great fun organising this event and it was a lovely crowd on the night. Music was courtesy of DJ Mike Artwell who always provides the best music to get everyone up and dancing.
Many thanks also for the lovely kind words which we are happy to share with you about our involvement in this event:

Dear Melanie

Thank you for making my husband's 40th birthday celebration such an incredible success. Steve and I have literally received dozens of messages from our friends thanking us for a great night. From your early assistance, to the final weeks, to the day of, everything you touched was wonderful and exceeded my expectations. The venue was just what I had envisioned-elegant yet fun and trendy, the food was delicious and the DJ knew just what music to play to get everyone out dancing and having fun. I am also grateful to you for the extra effort you put in to make sure my slideshow presentation went off without a hitch. There is no one that I would have trusted more with that laptop! You are a true professional, an expert in your field, organised, patient and always calm, cool and collected. I just can't sing your praises enough and would recommend you to anyone looking for an event planner.

With very best wishes

Stephanie Thorne

PS Don't be surprised when you get a phone call from Steve about organising my 40th at the end of the year!

A little love with Valentines Cupcakes from Cupcake Co, Poole

Today I was given one of my lovely Valentines Day surprises with delicious cupcakes from Cupcake Co, Canford Cliffs, Poole in Dorset. They delivered a presentation box with a lovely red organza bow with two fabulous cupcakes - one vanilla and one chocolate both beautifully decorated and the just the lightest sponge! I have used this company before for events and have to say that their cupcakes are superb and the service from this mother and daughter team is very reliable. See http://www.cupcake-co.com/ for further details and happy Valentines Day to all! xx

Wishing all you love birds out there a very happy Valentines Day - hope its all you want it to be and there are lots of lovely big sparkly stones being given! xx
